Been watching one of our members stopping smoking in a fashion that only an Alcoholic or Addict could understand. It appears he is going to stop something by continuing to do it, admirable behaviour and oblivious to the Laws of Addiction. Our man has bought himself a metal tube which delivers a blast of Nicotine when sucked upon and looks expensive and realistic as it also gives off a vapour cloud and has a little light on the end. This technology is supplemented by smoking.
On a Sunday I go to a candlelit meeting which is all very relaxed and chilled starting off with a 10 minute guided meditation followed by a general share up and out the door all done and dusted in an hour. Noticed last week that the subdued lighting and ambiance of the meeting has also been supplemented by a very subtle and fleeting blue pinpoint of light. Fuck me if it wasn’t our man now chain smoking in the meeting!
Now for the Spiritual Dilemma posed by the above behaviour
The Essence of all growth is a Willingness to change for the better supplemented by the Willingness to shoulder whatever responsibility this entails!So stick that in your Pipe and smoke it!
