roberta flack - first take

Variety is the spice of life and musically i like everything with a bit of heart. Just take a bit of time out to listen to this fantastic voice. This is the first album released by Roberta Flack in 1969 on the legendary Atlantic Label apparently none other than Clint Eastwood played a bit part in bringing her to national and international audiences.

johnny marr and the healers boomslang

Like a lot of highly talented UK artists Johnny Marr is the son of Irish Immigrants, see also band mate Morrissey, 3 of the Beatles, Johnny Rotten, Liam and Noel Gallagher, Elvis Costello even Boy George to name very few. Anyway i rest my case. Many years after the Smiths sadly ceased to be Johnny Marr brought out this album in 2003, like all his work its quality.

stray cats - blast off

The Stray Cats were heavily influenced by the early Sun Records sound and their music emulated these roots. This album is from 1989 long after the band peaked in 81/82. Still its got fine tunes and i like the rockabilly attitude.

barry white - can't get enough

Can't get enough of Barry White. Second solo release from the Walrus of Love and by far his biggest seller. With tracks like  "You're the First, the Last, My Everything" and "Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Babe" how could it possibly go wrong. Barrys shear size was in the end his undoing and contributed greatly in causing his untimely death in 2003.

eagles - one of these nights

Conceived as a Country Super Group they certainly delivered a very polished and accomplished end product. This is my favourite Eagles album released in 1975 a year before their even more massive "Hotel California" album. I have really happy memories of 1975 and this is a big part of them.
